Paragon provides MacKenzie with £9m facility

Paragon Bank has provided Mackenzie Homes with a £9m facility for a development in Buckinghamshire.

This facility will be used to deliver a new residential scheme, called Joe’s Folly, in Taplow.

Joe’s Folly is set in a semi-rural location adjacent to Amerden Lake and will include 16 homes with a mix of bedroom numbers.

Each property will include EV charging points, high performance insulation and energy-efficient heating systems with EPC ratings of A being targeted.

This means Mackenzie has qualified for Paragon’s Green Homes Initiative which rewards SME housebuilders for building energy-efficient homes.

Build works are due to commence in the coming weeks with completion targeted for February 2027.

The deal - which marks the fourth time the bank and Mackenzie have worked together — was led by Paragon Bank senior relationship director Steve Mountain.

“Paragon has consistently demonstrated a deep understanding of our business and the development process,” said Taj Sangha, managing director at Mackenzie Homes.

“Its flexible approach and commitment to our vision has been key to bringing Joe’s Folly to life.”

Steve added: “I’ve worked with Taj on various schemes over the past 15 years and on behalf of Paragon, we’re really proud to continue our partnership with Mackenzie Homes for what promises to be another standout development in a sought-after location.

“Joe’s Folly combines sustainable design in a picturesque lakeside setting with excellent transport links.”
